Summer Wellness Overview

Staying vital in the summer is maintained by staying hydrated, cool and rested. The high solar energy can quickly drain our ojas (vitality) and deplete prana (life-force).

Think about increasing moist, sweet, cooling, and aromatic foods.

Use more cucumbers, rose and fennel. Add a slice of cucumber or fennel in your water and check out our fennel yogurt sauce with meatballs.

If possible, stay out of the sun in the mid day.

Take a rest or lay down with an eye pillow to give your eyes, and your mental state, some down time.

Utilize herbs that are cooling and cleansing with the tastes of sweet, astringent or bitter.
