Summer: Wart Moon

Wart Moon.png

The high summer sun dwindles and the remedies of the plant world are offered up for those who remember the ancient ways of healing.  Concentrated constituents rest latent in the humble life of herbs. Their potency is mysterious to those who don’t know the ways to draw them out. It may be smoking, crushing, boiling or extracting. Some plants are combined with companions igniting a chemistry for potent potions. These plants have been revered for centuries for their earthly balm to human maladies. The art and science of their healing potential is one to hold sacred and continue to pass along with each generation.

12 Moons follows the year in the lunar cycles. Many cultures across time and geography, especially native land based cultures, have used the moon to mark time, prepare for seasons and recall agricultural practices and wisdom.
