Autumn Wellness

Autumn is the time of rooting; drawing vital energy down and into our center as we transition to winter. It can be a vulnerable time for our bodies and minds. The coolness can feel sharp and drying. This transition kicks up wind, which can be abrupt and irritating, as well as the cold and flu season adding a little stress to our system.

To soothe this transition and support your immune system, slow down and ground down with warm liquids and roots (which both move downward). Drink lots of warm root teas such as dandelions, marshmallow and ginger. Sip broths and soups with squash, sweet potatoes and garlic. Enjoy lots of fresh apples which help to cleanse any residual heat built up in your tissues from summer. Start supporting the immune system with herbs like ashwagandha, elderberry and mushrooms.

Trust in the natural slowing down and drawing in that you may feel your body longing for at this time.

Check our our Seasonal page for a list of products to support your transition to Autumn.
